Cervical Dystonia

Cervical dystonia, also called spasmodic torticollis, is a painful condition in which your neck muscles contract involuntarily, causing your head to twist or turn to one side. Cervical dystonia can also cause your head to uncontrollably tilt forward or backward.

Botulinum toxin injections are used to treat cervical dystonia. Such procedures are both safe and effective and are done right in the office. Vanguard Rehabilitation Physicians of Texas offers treatment for patients experiencing cervical dystonia.

Bruxism (teeth grinding)

Bruxism is excessive grinding of the teeth or clenching of the jaw. This condition can affect adults and children, and can occur during the day or night. Some people don't have any symptoms. Others may experience headaches, jaw pain, tooth pain, or dental problems.

Not everyone with bruxism needs treatment, but when there are frequent symptoms of morning headaches and jaw pain, unrefreshing sleep, or risk for long-term damage to teeth, a number of treatment options may be considered.

Treatment for bruxism can involve multiple components to both manage pain and other symptoms and also reduce the severity of teeth grinding and its potential consequences.

Vanguard Rehabilitation Physicians of Texas offers botox injections for patients experiencing teeth grinding symptoms.
